I often get word of the Backdoor Ventures Arts & Music Festival a bit too late. But here it is. When most art and music fairs in other countries can be found on the streets and in large open spaces, in Manila we have them in the malls.

The “Ber” months: September, October, November and December, have been very busy for me as freelancer thanks largely to game art projects from White Canvas Studios, some work from Outsiders, and comic book color projects such as Foldabots (K-Zone Philippines) and Eternal Descent (IDW Publishing). Without which I probably wouldn’t be able to pay for my web hosting and health insurance next year!
But apart from all the lonesome freelancing, I am happy to have given a portion of my time and money to activities that exposed me to more people. (Yeah, I prefer to stay at home.)

Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan, the Philippine’s premier children’s book illustration organization will celebrate the life and unpublished (secret!) works of the late Filipino children’s book author, Rene Villanueva in its 18th annual exhibit entitled “FOREVER RENEVER“.
It will be held the at the CCP Little Theater on November 19, 2009 - starting at 7pm. The exhibit runs until the 29th of November. See you there!

DSWD Secretary claims no volunteers to move the relief goods!! Trick or treat??
President GMA has begged the world to send the Filipino people relief goods (for typhoon Ondoy) through the DSWD. That’s the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development.
